Phil Hof
Born and raised in the west San Fernando Valley as it grew explosively in
the 1960s, and CSUN graduate, Phil moved to the Santa Clarita Valley in the
early 1980s to raise a family, all of whom still live in the SCV. Hiking
and biking the local trails is his favorite way to explore the valley.
Wanting to preserve the openness and beauty, as well as the opportunities
in the SCV, Phil involved himself in growth and water issues. He joined,
and then became a board member, of Santa Clarita Organization for Planning
the Environment (SCOPE). After a year on the Land Use Committee, Phil was
elected to the Town Council. Smart Growth, Self-Determination, and
Community Benefit are his watchwords as Castaic's issues come before the
Council.
Phil is a former Project Engineer, and is currently a Cost Analyst for
Northrop Grumman in Woodland Hills.
